Orval logo

The trappist monks at Orval monastery have been brewing fine beer for centuries. In recent times, as with the other trappist breweries, they've latched onto the commercial appeal and have brilliantly marketed themselves. This logo was designed for them by Henry Vaes in the art deco era, and like the special goblets he designed, is still part of their identity. The fish with a ring in its mouth tells the story of a miracle that happened on the site, that led to the founding of the abbey.
