Birthday!!

Oh, SEPTA. You're not winning any points with this five year old. First they cancelled the local weekend trollies, so he couldn't take his friends to his birthday party on the trolley. And then, today, to make up for it, we planned to take trollies and trains all around Philly to end up on the historical Girard Street trolley, which Sebastien has dreaming about for a while. 

We made it into the city on trolley / underground train. Stopped for lunch and birthday waffles (see extra photo) and took the subway up to Girard Street...only to discover that they were doing construction on the line for the next month and so were running buses instead of the trolley!!!

He took it really well, but he did mention several times that he was really disappointed. I guess we'll put it off until August.
