It’s going to be a tough day. I crawl home to an empty house. Angus is out walking and Claire, according to the Internet Marine Tracking site, is somewhere in the North Sea.

Late afternoon, we unload the 6 x 2 from the pickup, hitch the trailer, and head for Sunnyside to collect Angus’ rig. There’s occasional rain, which makes the trailer lid especially useful. The kit in the pickup is unprotected, but in the event we’re spared a soaking.

Pegeidh and Nick are visiting briefly. She’s off to the USA next week to work as an intern in Houston. The whole setup sounds chaotic, but she’s upbeat and confident.

And then it’s time to go to Newlands for Jo Caulfield’s warm-up, pre-Fringe show. She has some good gags, but I’d probably be better off getting an early night.
