On the Beach

Bank Holiday Monday and it was off to the beach with us.
Last year we couldn't get anywhere near the beaches on Studland because fifty million other people also wanted to go. Today we were taking no chances and set off at the crack of dawn. We were parked by 9am and tucking into a delicious full English at the cafe by half past!!
We had such a fabulous day - the Little Misses went to sea in a pedalo, then they went to sea on bodyboards, then we walked along the beach to another cafe for ice creams, cream teas, sandwiches, cake and lots of fizzy drinks.
Then we walked back along the beach, played volleyball, paddled and ended up at the cafe we started at. For more cake.
It's like a disease!!
The beach was deserted by the time we left. We always pride ourselves on being the last to leave anywhere!!
I had worried that bank holiday traffic would mean a long, stressful journey home but we flew home with no hold ups at all. 
What a lovely weekend!!
