ANOTHER DAY....

... of fun at Shoal Bay.

The weather has been superb and today just set everything into "overdrive"!

Started with the pelicans having some visitors whilst feeding on a school of fish right on the shore. Check the link out to see the dolphins wanted in on the action with three dolphins coming right in and having a good feed.

Then spotted a new bird! Up in the nearby gum tree were a couple of Kookaburras singing away, and in flew a pair of birds sitting nearby to take in the sing song!

On closer inspection it was a pair of Blue Faced Honeyeaters. Never seen one before - some info here if you wish.

We then went down to check out Birubi Beach, and first of found quite a few whales cruising by, with this one deciding to give you all a wave!!

We enjoyed a coffee and then I went walk about into the sand hills here which stretch right down the coast to Stockton just opposite Newcastle.

Liked the main pic, but also liked the isolation as a couple walked over the dunes.
