Croston Bridge
Backblip
Saturday of the folk weekend and the hottest day of the year.
After breakfast I went to a talk about the village bands of the area from years ago then to a music session in a pub. We played lots of tunes and were entertained by clog dancers from the Lancashire Wallopers dance team. They were very good especially managing to dance in such a small space!
I went for a walk around the village - it's very picturesque. The packhorse bridge over the River Yarrow and the cobblestones are particularly pretty. It has a lovely church and beautiful cottages too.
In the evening I played music in another pub session (no, I don't get tired of doing it as the tunes and musicians vary each time).
