St Lawrence's Burial Ground

Wandering down a bridle path and came across this burial ground which was part of St Lawrence's Hospital.

It has been left as a peaceful wilderness rather than a cemetery. Only one or two small memorial stones. I found it very moving and I am really glad that my boys have a bigger voice than those who went before them in disability world.

I wanted to download a copy of Joey Deacon's book, which he wrote when he lived there. "Tongue-tied: 50 years of friendship in a sub normality hospital" but it seems to be unavailable.
