Monday: Hydrangea and Scabious

I slept until 8am and felt refreshed this morning.
Cool, breezy & overcast - perfect for planting out my pathetic courgette, one “Gold Bush” and 3 “Early Gem”, they’ve been drowned, dried to a crisp & munched by slugs, it’ll be a miracle if we get anything to eat ...
MrD took my car to be washed by “the boys on the A5”, much improved! I don’t normally waste water on car washing...
MrD then gave the veggie patch & courgettes a thorough soaking, I’d mentioned using the hosepipe from the mains, he used the watering can and rain water - thumbs up for MrD & the environment!
Hydrangea in today’s photo was a leftover from our plant stall at Beaumaris and such a pretty flower. Scabious is “Blue Jeans” and is also very pretty, very low growing, the insects love it!
Took some plants over to my neighbours across the road and had a little walk round, everything looking very pretty, they love the natural gardening as I do and are thrilled that calendula are seeding everywhere.
Sky has cleared this evening, it’s chilly but a lovely evening...
Goodnight all x
