Curious..

Earlier this week we saw a huge Jseus Christ statue above the trees while we were making a boattour on the Negombo Lagoon. We became curious what it belonged to and this morning we took the bikes belonging to the guest house and went looking for it.

It stands on a church: The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

I made pictures and did a touch of HDR on them.

There has been a lot of fuzz about the statue... see this.

So: in a few hours we will be flying home.
We had a very pleasant stay at the Marine Tourist guesthouse at 118 Lewis Place in Negombo and were pampered by owner Nishan and his mother.
They were very helpful, had good ideas and the service was great and: at low cost!
And what is very important too: it was very clean!
I can recommend it; ask for the top floor; then you can see the ocean....
