Had oneof those most rarest of days yesterday,, we all done absolutely nothing...just couch surfed.. had a bash on the drums from time to time ..really getting good at counting to four now...last nite we out for our yearly meal out with 'kenco' pete ..and the lovely Donna,, blonde shazza and the equally adorable paul....petes an interesting character , a second dan blackbelt at wado karate, paul is a dan grade black at wado and also another style .. i trained with the pair of them a few years ago. basics were basic. sparring was where it was at ..used to enjoy our weekly punch ups ... remember watching pete spar against another dan grade who didnt understand the meaning of control and kept side kicking pete in the ribs at full force, to be fair pete did warn him once to control the kicks,, didnt warn him again before pete floored him... My claim to fame was flooring a dan grade instructor with a snap punch whilst in free kumite...there was always real intent to our sparring but were all mates after... must be so ive known these characters for years and years... Donna, petes girlfriend , is a 10 year veteran at belly dancing ,, so that explains inane grin he wears most of the time... its great to keep up certain traditions,, come hell or high water at christmas we always get together and its always a pleasure.
