Christmas day meal
After a busy morning searching down burrows for Blue Petrels and Antarctic Prions I had a more relaxing afternoon at the shag colony. Others were hard at work on albatrosses, seals and, most importantly, in the kitchen.
Smartly dressed, we assembled at 8 for our huge meal of turkey, ham, nut roast, potatoes, yorkshires and more veg. Plus a load of wine. It was an excellent meal and made an occasion of a Christmas when we were mostly working.
Following the meal we played a raucous game of Balderdash and danced until the early hours.
