Glen Tanar
So tonight I headed to Glen Tanar to shadow a gig by Callanish Ceilidh Band who work from Banana Row Music Studios in Edinburgh. It was an interesting wedding an old school rock/ceilidh mash-up! It got me really thinking as I spent a lot of time observing as opposed to playing, what I'd want if I ever had a civil/wedding thing whatever you call it! Also as it would be two females getting married whether my tartan dress would be an idea to base a dress on instead of a white one!! Mmmh... The music was brilliant. The band was rocking and the whole way it just ran with no issues like every issue on the tour!! Magical!!
When I was on tour. During Andy's solo I used to hold his hi-hat in place to stop it from slipping. As the floor was so shiny here the bassist at one point had to hold the whole kit!!! Boy am I glad I didn't have I do that!!!
If I just simply let go, and allow my hand, my arm, to be more of a support system, suddenly - I have more dynamic with less effort. Much more, and I just feel, at last, one with the stick, and one with the drum.
