Mallard

Yesterday a friend sent an email to let me know there are ducklings on the lily pond in the park. I've never seen them there (adults are not uncommon), so I set out early this morning to look for them - difficult, and the first time I've ventured outside my property for about 4 weeks.I eventually spotted the mother on a nest well hidden in reeds, and a got a glimpse of 2 of the ducklings - I've been told there are 5. Not a good photo I'm afraid, but they are extremely difficult to see, and I did not want to disturb them.
