Standing
I made it up to Edinburgh today for the first time in ages to see a couple of exhibitions. Bridget Riley at the National Gallery was a treat for me because I have seen one or two of her paintings over the years, but not a full show like this. It is always interesting to see how an artist develops their ideas over a long period of time. This photograph was taken in the National Portrait Gallery where I saw photographs by Francesca Woodman, Diane Arbus and Robert Mapplethorpe. I have only seen their photographs reproduced in magazines before this, so it was worth it to see original prints.
