King Cross/St Pancras
What a day! We went by bus and then train to Euston and walked to King's Cross taking in all the sights and sounds of a busy London! Talk about country bumpkins - but we did it and did it well! We enjoyed an hour or two in Kings Cross/st Pancras - and had a great coffee and almond croissant at a bargain £3.50! I'd have thought London would have been more expensive than Barnstaple but this was much less than we'd have paid at home! We then took the underground to Camden Market and enjoyed mooching around the shops before heading off on a canal trip to Little Venice and back. Most enjoyable. After some more wandering around Camden we headed home, happy to have done al the journeying successfully! My blip is part of the statue under the clock in Kings Cross - modern one with the woman looking at her phone instead of concentrating on her love! Extra is friend Trish with John Betjeman.
