Slightly Battered

This poor female banded demoiselle seems to have been in the wars. she's missing a leg and her abdomen's a bit wonky. But she's still looking quite fierce.

I'm hoping to find myself another subject to photograph tomorrow - honest!

It's been the hottest day of the year, so I was out early and home well before the heat had time to get me.
