Marbled white butterfly
..on hedge bedstraw (Galium molluga)
One of you said you hadn't seen many butterflies this year and would I post one, so here's a marbled white.
On my walk today I saw literally hundreds, but apart from these whites they were all browns: Mainly, but not exclusively meadow browns. I had been seeing a lot of blues including, unusually, in my garden, but that was before we had all the rain and I've seen almost none since. Hope their numbers recover.
And that's about all I have to say today. It's late and I've worked hard on stuff. Quite soon I want my bed. Zzzz zzzz zzzz
Hope you've had a brill Monday (if that's not a contradiction in terms) xx
