A gripping story

I have had one or two books in Books on my iPad for quite some time. But I have remained a devotee of paper and ink. Recently, I have downloaded a couple more books, the latest being this one. Finished today.

A very well written account of what was a remarkable episode in the bizarre dance of countries and their secret services. A bit freaky to read how a provocative military exercise by NATO nearly caused a response from the Soviet Union which may have led to nuclear war.
