Tramalot

Visiting the Great Orme by way of Llandudno today.  Being who we are, we had to ascend the Orme by the local tram.

Contrary to what is implied by the apparent overhead wire apparatus, that was never how it was powered but only a communications link.  It's cable-hauled from underneath, which is why there are more grooves in the ground than you'd expect.

We, predictably, ignored* the tourist bit on the top and went for a bracing walk to the end and back.

* We may have had an ice cream...
