School’s Out

Today was the last day of the year for one of my ESOL classes. I got back just in time for the end of year party. We had a feast!

Then I went to the Conversation Cafe I help lead. I love the variety of people I meet! Today’s topic was Independence Day - since tomorrow is the USA’s Independence Day. I learned about how other nations celebrate their Independence or freedom or just National day. And the students got to practice talking a lot!

Then I got to meet a good friend (and former neighbor from India) who is in London on holiday with her husband. It’s been four years since we met - four years since I left India for a two month break and then didn’t get a visa to go back. It is so good to see her again!!
