inspired by allotment gardeners

I guess at the moment they are busy choosing their seeds for next year. Pam has decided to plant saffron in her allotment. Apparently it is worth its weight in gold!

But I do feel sorry for this gardener. Has his plot ever flooded like this before? Perhaps he will be growing rice next year - or will he or she be the one smiling when others are suffering from a Spring drought?
