Haverigg Dunes

Orienteering on the sand dunes in Cumbria on a sunny evening. Fantastic- we don't just have mountains and lakes, we have sand dunes and beaches.  No walking poles- the hills are hardly high!  I was the slowest adult on my course but beat quite a few teenagers.
I'd spent the morning pulling Himalyan Balsam in a very overgrown meadow near the River Kent. Being surrounded by head high nettles and brambles did not make for good photos.
