That hang-dog look

I was at the polytunnel this morning to have a good weed, transplant some tomatoes, lift the onions and plant my cucumelons, though they're still quite small.  I'd nicked a couple of dozen plastic bottles from the recycling - you'd be amazed what people put into the plastic bottle recycling! - and cut them down to make mouse-proof guards for the cucumelons. 

I saw this poor little fella hanging up in the tunnel - I wonder what he'd done to deserve this treatment! Probably digging holes in the veggie beds! He certainly is the ultimate hang-dog!
