Gentiana Cachemirica

This is a late summer flowering gentian and will bloom right on till September.

Sadly, not growing in the Elie garden but in the Botanic Gardens in St Andrews.

An emergency trip to St Andrews to order a new nameplate for the front door .... the old one just fell off. Sea air and salt spray are not particularly good for the outside of the house.  We collect the plate tomorrow so will probably have a quick visit to the gardens again ..... the rock garden is looking very colourful and is well worth a second visit.
