At the Dyke Neuk.
Been out to Belsay Hall with the Aussie visitors. We had a great time then to the pub for a mid afternoon meal.
The gardens were fabulous and there's a lovely walk through a quarry garden. The house is just a building with no furniture a bit disappointing and not at all what I expected from a stately home.
Met someone in the pub who is was in the girl guides with me years ago.
I dont know if you can make out the pub sign. The pub is called the Dyke Neuk. Dyke means ditch by the road and neuk comes from nook which means corner. So ditch corner. There are many places in the North East called Nook. There's Windy Nook near Gateshead, and The Nook in South Shields.
