God Bless America

We had a full day of celebrations today. Our neighborhood had a parade. There were about 50 golf carts, 4X4's, bicycles, antique cars, jeep pulling a boat full of kids, tractors pulling carts full of kids, lawn mowers, skate boarders and walkers pushing strollers and some with dogs! We had them all. The parade was led by the color guard from the Merchant Marine school where I used to work, the fire and rescue departments were here as well. We went to a mid day party with our friends from the next town up and some grade school friends we haven't seen in years. Then some old friends brought a picnic dinner over and we all enjoyed it and the neighborhood fireworks show . A lot to celebrate and be grateful for.
