Waveburst

After being stuck indoors for a couple of days by the atrocious weather it was a joy to be able to walk along Sandown beach to blow the cobwebs away. The high winds had stirred up the sea and some spectacular waves were hitting the shore and the sea wall.

I spent a pleasant couple of hours snapping the turmoil in the sea and finished up with around 30 useable pictures so it was difficult to chose just one to blip.

Suitably refreshed and full of good sea air I returned home mid-afternoon by which time things were back to normal with grey skys and the threat of more rain and gales.
