Guess what

I took this photo of a common vegetable flower, I have never seen it before but as I am growing some things for seed just now I let it grow. Can you guess what it is?

In other news I won the chicken battle last night with no escapes but I wait to see what tonight brings. I did need to go out this morning and sort out a pitch battle over a nest box, one hen confined to her own hut for an hour sorted it! They make the most amazing noises at each other when arguing, sounded like a dog growling.
