way out west

Its my birthday today and my choice of activity was a drive around the Beara peninsula through some dramatic weather.
This was taken at Allihies, almost as far west as Cork county goes, where we stopped at a nice little bar for refreshments. It looks calm here but the wind was strong and just around the corner the Atlantic surf was pounding in.
We had several walks at different places and blew all the cobwebs away then came home to a chinese take-out.
