Guess what I've been doing today? Hrrumph. I went on to the BT Facebook page yesterday and they seem to have a PR team looking after social media and they encourage you off the public page and get you conversing by private messages. They didn't seem to actually do anything once they'd got you off the public pages and I felt I was being fobbed off so I went on the public pages. Anyway, someone offered to phone and discuss the matter and this enabled me to vent my anger but little else. I did manage to tell him the complete story of how my cable was cut by an engineer and I think he was a little shocked at my story. He raised a complaint for me and I don't know if it was anything to do with this but this afternoon I had a knock on the door and two Openreach engineers were there. They've booked a platform and will be back tomorrow to cobble something together bring a new cable into the house. That not be the final solution but getting my service back is the important thing while they decide what needs to be done in the long term. So, I am hopeful for tomorrow!

This is the view across the river to Shaldon and Teignmouth. The first Teignmouth Airshow is taking place tomorrow and there seem to be all sorts of parking contingencies going on. As far as I can see there's only going to be 2 planes flying. One of them is the Typhoon though.

Update: Saturday 6th - we're back online and it's not 10 o'clock yet!
