Ex-grave yard

This sign requests people to behave appropriately in view of the fact that Poles, Lithuanians and Russians, all inhabitants of this area were buried here. The sign is rusty, but the area is bounded with a low fence and the view is beautiful. There are no grave stones and the sign is in three languages. No further explanation is offered.

I stood by the frozen expanse which this very small patch of ground overlooks and listened to the uncanny sounds emitted by the lake.
