The Avocado Tree

We arrived at our house in South Africa at noon today. One of the first things I did, was to check the avocado tree that we planted one year ago. It was rather small then and didn't look too strong, but it survived the winter and looks quite good now. It is here in the front, in the back is a bougainvillea and a lemon tree that had fallen over. I actually don't know how that happened, because it was not exposed to the wind, but now it has to be chopped up for firewood.
The weather is wonderful, twenty six degrees and no wind. Let's hope for some sunshine tomorrow.
