Rydal Water

An early drive into the Lakes to avoid the crowds.  Parked near Penny Rock, Grasmere and walked towards Grasmere and then up onto Loughrigg Terrace to Rydal.  Rydal Caves and then dropped down to the lake side to return to White Moss woods and then back to the car.  Great.  Very quiet to begin with but lots of people out enjoying the day towards the end of my walk.  Also, saw a group of young girls doing their Duke of Edinburgh Gold Award and was able to answer a couple of map-reading questions for them.

Quick stop in Ambleside and then home via Newby Bridge.

Great morning - only problem I forgot either camera but at least I had my phone.  Doh!
