low temperatures, there was an amazing amount of wildlife up on the high moorland. This Skylark was calling from the heather, Sedge Warblers, Reed Buntings, Pipits, Kites and Kestrels all appeared. Two closed and chilly Small Pearl Bordered and Common Blues were keeping out of the breeze and Butterfly, Heath spotted, Fragrant and Northern Marsh Orchids were in profusion, as was Ragged Robin, Bedstraw and Tormentil.
