The Old Forge (Saturday 6th July 2019)

I had places to go today, but was rendered apathetic by heat and only made it as far as outside. I blipped some Fox And Cubs in Horsebrook up by the Green a week ago but these are growing in the grapevine bed in the garden, next to Archie's hardstanding. I can't claim them as wildflowers as they were planted there and came from another garden.

Penelope Trappes: 'Penelope Two' (Full Visual Album) (2018)
Having listened to The Wire Tapper 47 a couple of days ago, I tackled The Wire Tapper 48, that came with the November 2018 issue of The Wire. I loved the opening track, Kismet by Penelope Trappes and planned to use it as my LOTD. However the track does not exist in isolation on You Tube, only as the fourth audio-visual sequence in this unbanded film of the whole album from which it comes, Penelope Two. It takes about half-an-hour of our time, but is a beautiful experience. "For fans of Angelo Badalamenti, Slowdive, Scott Walker and This Mortal Coil", it says on You Tube. Sold.
