Well, I picked up my new glasses today. The seeing ones (as opposed to the reading ones!) have persuaded me that I have certainly made the right choice in going with 2 pairs as opposed to varifocals. Because they're now a stronger prescription when I look down it looks like the floor is sloped which has made for some interesting walking! The optician did say they might take a bit of getting used to. The world is certainly a clearer place anyway. All I need to do now is take money on how long it's going to take me to lose a pair!
