Long Day

It’s been a long day, but a good one. I’m tired, and a week of long days has just begun.

I started off with a long commute to north London and a late bus. There is a group of young people visiting here for a cultural learning experience. I helped with some orientation. Then took off for the long commute back to my part of London. This time the trains were running slow.

The rest of the afternoon I spent applying henna to people’s hands st our town’s Family Fun Day. My local church has a booth every year, and the henna is as popular as the face painting. Many people wonder why we are doing this free. The answer - we love Jesus and want to show His love and be a blessing to our community. I had some nice conversation with people as I worked. The only sad thing was having to turn people away when it was (past) time to end.

I came home and Monkii gave me cuddles while I relaxed on the sofa. Now I just need good sleep so I’ll be ready for all tomorrow holds!

This blip is from my walk to the bus stop heading home. I’m thinking blackberry blossoms? Not being much of a plant person, that’s a guess, but it looks like berries of some sort are forming, the plant looked a bit like I think I remember blackberry plants looking and I know blackberries are usually ripening in August.
