       I finally felt a little more awake this morning after all the exertions of Thursday. And determined to go snap the milkweed that has begun to bloom. On the walk at the bridge I met a family who had found a fresh snake shed. The skin was still soft and supple. The snake was hiding nearby. I saw three more snakes at the other end of the bridge on my way to snap the milkweed bloom. On the way back one of the snakes had returned to its basking and posed for a few shots before I got too close and off it went to hide in the grass again.
