Dolly and Lafawnda

We noticed when we got home last night that Lafawnda looked as though she might have an ear infection. We'd been keeping an eye on it for a few weeks, our vet noticed some flakes when she was up for her last vaccines, but it wasn't serious enough to need treatment, just a careful watch. Tonight it looked like there might be some build up in her ear, I was able to clean a little out but rabbit ears are very awkward and Lafawnda is twitchy. We did call the on-call vet last night who advised that we could get an emergency appointment today if it looked worse overnight or if it stayed the same we might be better to wait and see Ingeborg on Monday. There was no redness inside and Lafawnda isn't bothering with it, so no mad rush to the out of hours required.

Out of all the medical issues we've had, we have little experience of rabbit ear troubles. We've been lucky all the buns have only ever had the occasional bit of wax before, this was a new one to us.
