" It's some lichen. Big deal ? "

Well today's blip is a big deal for me at least :-)))))
The stone with the lichen on it is 14 inches wide at its widest point.
I was 60 feet away and from an elevated position when I took the shot.
Mounted my 500 mm lens with a 1.4x teleconverter on a tripod.
Using this teleconverter requires manual focus so a tripod is an absolute must.
Given that lenses on digital cameras are approx 1.5 times the focal length of 35 mm then this photograph was taken at 500 mm x 1.4 x 1.5 = 1050 mm.
So yes it is a big deal for me !!! I'm very pleased with the quality of the result.
