Family Birthday Party

I must first point out that this photo was taken by William's Mum, which is why you can see me in the background petting Basil.

Despite the unexpected rain, we enjoyed a joint birthday party for Len and me in the conservatory. George undertook the barbecuing wearing a rain jacket and a cricket hat.

Kat had made a delicious chocolate and orange cake which was gorgeously moist, based on a gluten free lemon drizzle cake recipe which I'd posted earlier in the week (I think).

William was almost totally occupied in running his trains on the train track, although he did resort to Duplo for a while. See extra.
