A Quiet Sunday

Guests’ breakfasts made, enjoyed and then they were checking out. They're off to Madrid by train, clutching a handwritten note of our favourite places there. Our cleaning lady was here at 9.00 to start her weekly clean (usually on Thursday but postponed to take into account the guests' leaving). Despite her slight clumsiness, we appreciate her flexibility and that she comes in and worked  solidly for 5 hours today.  Bb and I then stripped beds and did the bedding and towel laundry in our local launderette.   We both then sat down and did a couple of hours of laptop stuff. I'm very happy to report that the assessor's report and the two Trainers-in-Training reports are now finished and sent off to Cambridge. Hurray!!   We wanted to buy rooting powder for some cuttings and so then headed to the Conillas garden centre in Pedralbes. Of course, we couldn't resist buying a few plants too!  Late lunch at Bar Duero. A call to my mother-in-law, who's had a wee stay in hospital recently.  So lovely just to catch up with her and have a chat.  Reassured her that we're here for her and we'll do what we can to help, whether that be in Largs or a visit to Barcelona.
