Orchid

I took a friend to a 70th Anniversary orchid celebration at Burnham nursery in South Devon. We attended three very interesting talks, one about a company called “Little Pod” by a very enthusiastic lady who started the company from scratch to promote real vanilla from the vanilla orchid which is being reintroduced in Madagascar. There was another talk about macro photography and the third was an A-Z of the history of the nursery celebrating it’s 70 years. This blue orchid was one of many interesting specimens on show today. Of course I had to buy a plant which will no doubt feature in a future blip. An interesting day. A spider orchid in extras.
