Eiffel Tower

We left London on the Eurostar at lunchtime and arrived at our home for next week, the Swiss Ruby, at about 6.30. Paris is very hot with the temperature when we arrived just short of 40 degC. After being welcomed on board and meeting our lovely crew it was time for dinner. After dinner we were taken on a cruise on the river around Paris. It was good to pick out landmarks that we knew but sad to see Notre Dame covered in scaffolding after the fire of a few weeks ago. As it became darker the Eiffel Tower was lit up and we passed it at 11 pm when more lights were blinking on and off all the way up the height of the tower. It was super being on deck on this balmy evening.
