England: London backblip (5)

More London architecture. This is the Hotel Klimpton Fitzroy in Bloomsbury overlooking Russell Square Park (on the right). Our Bloomsbury B&B Hotel is just on the other side of the park.

The Fitzroy is very grand inside and has been restored very elegantly. We went in to look around and had our pre-theatre drinks in the cocktail bar there. The two men had a dry Amontillado Sherry and I favoured  one called Iberia Cream which was luscious!

Extras:
- The staircase leading down to the entrance in the hotel
- The lead singers in Phantom
- One of the show cases in the theatre.

The music, by Andrew Lloyd Webber, was fabulous and the two lead singers: the Phantom, a wonderful tenor and the role of the heroine called Christine, a delicate and emotional soprano.  An evening to remember!
