Proboscis primed

The insects are busy at the moment so I dawdled on my dog walk taking close ups of butterflies and other winged creatures.  They move so fast  and are so delicate that I find it impossible to know exactly what I've captured until l look at them at home on a big screen.

This is not the sharpest of pictures but a lucky and worthwhile shot nevertheless.
