Garden moths......

....trapped last night.  The moth numbers and species in the garden have been quite low this year which is disappointing .....not just for us however ...across the board. Possibly down to the rather cool summer so far and the unexpected burst of heat in February which I believe had quite an impact on larvae hatching early before food sources were up. These three are [ top left to right] a Square Spot, a Garden Carpet and a Mottled Beauty.
