The Bridge Inn

I had my first pint of 'Real Ale' here in about 1981, after drinking lager and keg since I were a lad. I said then that they must have dipped it out of the River Clyst but I've come to appreciate proper beer since then. The Queen stopped off for a pint there 17 years later and they're still going on about it! There's been a dwelling there since about 1086 they reckon.

I dropped Marian off at the airport this morning for her flight to Edinburgh and went through Topsham for a blip on my way home.

Rehearsal tonight with the Commitments band, we have a charity event this weekend which we're all looking forward to.
