Fork Handles or Four Candles ?

Back blip from our weekend in Ainster.
Noticed this shop in the town & as we needed a padlock decided to visit it. The old guy who owns it was sitting outside on a chair as he usually does on sunny days I would think.
We went to go in & he followed us in asking if he could help.
On mentioning we needed a padlock he brought out a box that he had trouble lifting and dropped it with a bang on the counter. There were padlock’s of many different sizes so we picked one & all the time he was asking where we were from etc etc. He was quite a character & then Lesley asked about a bread bin that was in the window. ( big mistake)
He said he had some in his back store & asked L if wanted check them out. She was away for 20 mins & I was left in the shop alone luckily nobody came in. She returned but said nothing was suitable & we left.
She said the store was through two other doors with old fashioned bolts on them and stuff was all over the place like the shop, I honestly don’t know how he can find anything.
It was worth a visit and his window display was priceless.
Good to shop local you meet some character’s.
