Brits on the Beach

You could tell us a mile off - we were the ones with UV tops on and me in a full swimming costume.  Not the ones wearing barely anything and tanning ourselves essentially, all over.  It was so hot, we had to resort to getting the umbrella from the car for some shade (I drew the line at the husband sitting holding it over himself though).

The  eldest has christened it the 'far away beach' namely because it's over an hour's drive away (pretty astute name really).   The spent all afternoon building sandcastles, and farm houses, I was asked to make some cows, a tractor and a dog to go with it, but this was a little too much to achieve.

Little else to report, aside from the boys seeming to have adopted a rather Mediterranean approach to bed times and waking up.  Monday morning is going to be the most awful shock to them.
